Pat's Knitting and Quilting

1 Done and 3 for the Road
These handspun socks have been my take-along project since January. I really like the simple but classic cuff - it gives them a special touch. As you can see, I opted for fraternal twins, maybe even cousins, on these socks. They have provided wonderful mindless car, doctor/dentist/orthodonist waiting room, school meeting knitting for the past few months!
Pattern: Winterscape Socks by Kay Redding- who blogs at From the Backyard
(click here for PDF) - Perfect pattern for handspun socks! I'll be making more of these.
Size: Medium (size 7) - 64 stitches
Yarn: Handspun 3ply FatCatKnits fiber (60% sw merino, 30% bamboo, 10% nylon) - 66 grams in Pomegranate. For more spinning info see this post
* PS - I think today is the last day to sign up for the next FatCat Knits fiber club round which will include 2 coordinating colorways of Polwarth for April, superwash Merino for May, and a very special silver alpaca/silk blend for June.
Edited to add - fiber club closed today :-(
Needles: 2 socks on 1 40"circular 2.25 mm needle
As you can see, not too much more has happened in the past week on these 3 pair of socks.
We leave for Virginia on Thursday and I will take all 3 along for the ride!
I don't blog on vacation, so see you in a few weeks...
