The Very Hungry Caterpillar Quilt

I rarely buy fabric to make a specific quilt, but when I saw this quilt pattern (back in 2008) from my favorite children's book, I immediately ordered all the fabric to make it exactly like the picture. I knew it would be a perfect quilt for a special baby gift...Well that baby is coming in about 2 months :-)
I pulled out my ziplock bag of fabric (I had even remembered to slide the magazine in there 2 years ago - so organized!) and was ready to go start this quick fun project.

The wind was blowing so hard when I photographed this quilt that I couldn't get it to stop flying around - this is the best picture I got.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Quilt

Pattern: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Gail Kessler from Fons & Porter Love of Quilting May/June 2008 (I don't think the pattern is still available, but if you get the fabric, it is VERY easy to figure out from this picture)
Size: 44" X 56" (made mine a little smaller than the pattern which is 62" in length)
Fabric: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Andover Fabrics - the backing is stash fabric - perfect!
Method: Machine pieced and machine quilted by me (all quilting done with feed dogs up and built in Pfaff walking foot).

Such a wonderful book - can't wait to give this gift!
