We've Got EGG!! (and socks)

Yep - very 1st egg landed this morning - I'm so excited! You'd think no other chicken had ever laid an egg :)

1st egg

Gloria is doing the happy dance!

I promise this won't turn in to a chicken blog, but I couldn't contain myself today!

Cam wants handknit socks for pond hockey this winter- I told him I'd make him a pair if I could use this fiber ... He readily agreed.

I divided the braid in half lengthwise and spun each half end to end into a long single which I then chain plied for striped socks - 407 yards (122 grams) of wonderful soft shiny fingering weight yarn.
